Bill Anderson Reserve Re-opens

After several months of Capital Works Saturday 13/4/24 saw the re-opening of field 1 at our Beloved Bill Anderson Reserve.

The works were funded largely by the State Government through two major grants for the drainage, as well as contributions from the Federal Government and Liverpool Council.

Anne Stanley – Federal MP for Werriwa

Nathan Hagarty – State MP for Leppington

Tanya Davies – State MP for Badgerys Creek

Ross Maiorana – President KCUSC

Works included and not limited to.

# Stripping and levelling of the pitch.

# Drainage.

# Re-installing irrigation.

# Re-turfing.

# updating the technical area.

With some final work to be completed including:

Laying of Hybrid grass in goal areas and finalising drainage.

Club President Ross Maiorana was extremely appreciative of the support given to the Club by all levels of Government.

“I would like to thank the State Government for their investment into these projects, as well as the assistance from the Federal and Local Governments. We have always had a good working relationship with our local members,” he said.

“We tell them what we are working towards, and they tell us what they can assist us with, and we then map out a plan to make something happen. The result is better facilities for the kids and adults to use and enjoy” Maiorana added.

A special mention to our contractors without them we would not be where we are today.
